  When do you use a presidential acknowledgment letter? Frequently Asked Questions

A variety of responses:
  • All gift levels for trustees and board members.
  • Faculty and Staff - All gift levels, with the exception of those who give through payroll. They receive an annual letter.
  • Alumni, parent and friends at varying gift levels.
  • Special acknowledgement when someone moves into a lifetime giving society or for the first time they move into a giving society at a certain level.
  • Higher level pledge and gift acknowledgments. Can be hand signed.
  • For donations to the President's Excellence or similar fund.
  • President chooses from a list received weekly of $1,000 and up donors and makes a selection based on his knowledge of the individuals or organizations.
  • Presidential letter for donors to specific constituencies.
  • Presidential acknowledgement for the president's assigned prospects.
