  When is a scholarship considered donor directed? Frequently Asked Questions

As long as the donor is not doing the selecting, and the guidelines state that there is only a preference then the scholarship would not be donor directed.

For example, if a committee does the selecting and can select students that do not meet the specific preference guidlines.
