Reporting
directly to the Manager, Document Systems and under the general direction
of the Director of Advancement Services, the incumbent is responsible for
the administration of the divisions electronic imaging system, including
groups across the whole university.
The Document Imaging Systems Analyst will ensure that imaged documents
adhere to university standards and the electronic imaging plan.
The incumbent will recommend and manage future enhancements and
developments of the electronic imaging system.
The incumbent will be the primary contact the electronic imaging system
including providing technical support , training and documentation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Recommends enhancements to improve the use of electronic
imaging
Participates on campus committees on electronic imaging and uses knowledge
gained to improve the use of electronic imaging within University
Development.
Ensures that all system enhancements and related business processes
include the use of electronic imaging technology where appropriate.
Provides all technical support for electronic imaging including
installation, problem tracking, working with network services and other
central computing staff as required.
Recommends scanning and archival strategies for all documents used in
University Development.
Monitors usage of electronic imaging and prepares monthly usage summaries.
Formulates a plan for quality control of scanned images and monitors the
quality.
Provides all training and training documentation for the use of electronic
imaging.
Tests and performs all hardware and software upgrades for the electronic
imaging system.
Assists in sourcing new hardware and software as required.
Qualifications
A post secondary education with a focus on computers,
commercial or business school training or equivalent education and
experience. Past experience with the University Development Information
and Electronic Imaging Imaging System is highly desirable. Advanced
knowledge or records management policies, procedures and practices. |
